WrenchWriter ("we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-assisted tool that helps auto body shops write insurance supplement narratives. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

When you create an account and use WrenchWriter, we collect:

• Account information: your name and email address, collected and managed by our authentication provider, Clerk.
• Billing information: subscription and payment details, processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number.
• Claim and vehicle data you enter: shop name, claim/RO number, vehicle details, damage descriptions, and any other information you type into the supplement form in order to generate a narrative.
• Basic usage data: how many supplements you generate, used solely to enforce subscription usage limits.

How We Use Your Information

• To operate and provide the WrenchWriter service, including generating supplement narratives.
• To manage your account, authentication, and subscription billing.
• To enforce fair-use limits on the number of supplements generated per account.
• To communicate with you about your account or the service, such as billing notices.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the service.

How Supplement Narratives Are Generated

The claim and damage details you submit are sent to Anthropic's Claude API solely to generate your supplement narrative in real time. We do not use your claim data to train any AI model, and the data is not retained by us after the narrative is generated and returned to you.

Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on the following providers to operate WrenchWriter. Each processes a limited set of data necessary for its function:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
• Anthropic — AI-generated narrative text.
• Vercel — application hosting and infrastructure.

These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are contractually bound to protect it.

Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using commercially reasonable safeguards.

Data Retention

We retain your account and billing information for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your account information is retained for a reasonable period in case you wish to reactivate, after which it may be deleted. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

You may access, update, or request deletion of your account information at any time by contacting us at the email address below. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account or by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

WrenchWriter is a business tool intended for use by auto body shop professionals and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
