Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WrenchWriter (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

WrenchWriter is a subscription tool that uses AI to help auto body shop estimators draft insurance supplement narratives based on information you provide. The Service is a drafting aid — it is your responsibility to review, edit, and verify the accuracy of any narrative before submitting it to an insurer or adjuster.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Subscription & Billing

  • WrenchWriter is offered on a monthly subscription basis at the price displayed at checkout.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew each month until canceled.
  • You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. There are no long-term contracts.
  • Fees are processed by Stripe and are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Usage is subject to fair-use limits on the number of supplement narratives generated per day and per month, as described on our pricing page. These limits may change from time to time.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to submit fraudulent insurance claims or narratives;
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, security measures, or access controls;
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to parties outside your own shop without our consent;
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal use of the product interface.

5. AI-Generated Content

Supplement narratives are generated by an AI model based on the information you provide. We do not guarantee that any narrative is accurate, complete, or will be approved by any insurer or adjuster. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all content before submitting it for any business or legal purpose. WrenchWriter is a drafting tool, not a substitute for professional judgment.

6. Your Professional Responsibility

You are the repair professional of record. The Service supports your work; it does not replace your professional judgment, and it does not perform, supervise, inspect, or certify any repair. Final proofing, review, approval, and consultation are your obligation and remain entirely within your discretion.

You are solely responsible for:

  • Final proofing, review, and approval of every narrative, summary, checklist, and citation produced by the Service before it is used, submitted, or relied upon for any purpose;
  • Determining which repair operations a specific vehicle actually requires, and confirming them against the manufacturer's repair procedures for that vehicle's VIN, year, model, trim, equipment, and condition;
  • All communication and consultation with the vehicle owner, insurer, adjuster, appraiser, or any other party;
  • The performance, workmanship, completeness, and safety of any repair; and
  • Your compliance with applicable law, manufacturer requirements, industry standards, and any agreement you have with an insurer, network, or customer.

Whether to rely upon, edit, or disregard any output of the Service is your decision alone.

7. OEM Information, Citations & the Requirements Checklist

The Service may display manufacturer position statements, quotations, effective dates, source links, and a checklist of operations that may be relevant to a repair (collectively, "OEM Information"). OEM Information is provided for reference only.

  • We reproduce OEM Information from manufacturer and third-party sources. Those sources may be revised, superseded, withdrawn, or become unavailable at any time, and may themselves contain errors. You must confirm any citation against the live source document before relying on it.
  • Any checklist or list of required operations is informational and is not exhaustive. It reflects only the documents we hold for a given manufacturer and cannot account for a specific vehicle's year, trim, options, equipment, or condition.
  • Items presented as commonly required but without a citation are not manufacturer requirements and must be verified against the applicable repair procedure.
  • The absence of an operation from any checklist does not mean that operation is not required.
  • OEM Information does not replace the manufacturer's repair procedures for a specific vehicle. Those procedures govern in all cases, and obtaining and following them is your responsibility.
  • We do not certify, and make no representation, that any repair is complete, compliant, safe, or performed in accordance with manufacturer requirements.

8. No Professional Advice

The Service does not provide legal, insurance, engineering, safety, or repair advice. Nothing produced by the Service is a guarantee of payment, approval, or acceptance by any insurer, adjuster, appraiser, or other party. No attorney-client, engineering, or other professional relationship is created by your use of the Service.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WrenchWriter, its affiliates, and their officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, penalties, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) any repair you perform or fail to perform; (b) any supplement, estimate, narrative, or documentation you submit to any party; (c) your reliance on any output of the Service; (d) your breach of these Terms; or (e) your violation of any law or third-party right.

10. Intellectual Property

We retain all rights in the WrenchWriter Service, including its software, design, and branding. As between you and us, you retain ownership of the claim and damage information you submit, and of the narratives generated for your use.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WrenchWriter and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including reliance on any AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided solely for your own internal business use. No vehicle owner, insurer, adjuster, or other third party is an intended beneficiary of these Terms, and no such party is entitled to rely on the Service or any output of it.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which WrenchWriter is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
